Scrip is a simple and effective way to support Holy Cross—just by using gift cards for your everyday shopping!
What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a parish fundraiser where you purchase gift cards at face value and a percentage of each purchase (called a rebate) is returned to Holy Cross. You shop as usual, and the parish earns—at no extra cost to you.
How It Works
When you purchase Scrip gift cards, you pay face value, and the retailer gives a percentage back to Holy Cross Parish as a rebate.
Example:
Jr. Smith needs new clothes, so Mom buys a $100 Old Navy® Scrip card. She pays $100—but Old Navy gives 14% back, so $14 goes to Holy Cross Parish!
She does the same for cleaning supplies at Target, books from Amazon, and gardening gear at Home Depot. These rebates add up fast!
The Impact
If 200 parish families each purchase $500 in Scrip monthly with an average rebate of 4%, the parish could earn $4,000 per month—or $48,000 annually—to support parish operating expenses.
Ways to Maximize Scrip
Card Consolidation
Need large-value gift cards? We can often order high-denomination cards (e.g., one $1,000 card instead of multiple $25 cards). Please allow 1–2 weeks for delivery. Ask us about availability.
Vacation Planning
Hotels, car rentals, cruises, and even Disney vacations often offer 8%–12% rebates. Plan ahead and make your travel purchases count!
Business Use
If you own a business or manage a fleet, you can buy high-value cards for gas or supplies—another great way to support the parish.
Tuition Credit
Families from Holy Cross School, Faith Formation, and Notre Dame Academy receive 59% of the rebate as tuition credit (applied twice a year). The remaining 41% supports the parish and covers shipping.
Family and friends can also contribute to your tuition credit by designating your family when purchasing Scrip!
When to Buy
SCRIP is available at the parish office:
Monday: 9:00–11:00 AM
Wednesday: 12:30–2:00 PM
Friday: 9:00–11:00 AM
Also available after all weekend Masses.
